After ten years of formal commitment to sustainability, 2010 represented a year of consolidation and reinforcement of the approach.

The launch of the Sustainability Policy is the cornerstone. 
It covers all the themes affecting the Group sphere of influence: human rights, codes of governance, health and safety, labour practices, social initiatives, relations with customers and suppliers, energy efficiency, environment, quality of products and processes, research and innovation.

In addition dedicated Group Policies deriving from the Sustainability Policy cover in details all the relevant aspects.

Therefore, all HeidelbergCement Group activities in Greece have undertaken a commitment of full respect and adherence to the principles and values of all new policies and will substantially contribute to the application of the new Sustainable Development framework.
