Heidelberg Materials Hellas
Since 2022, the company has focused on cement production and trading through its cement factory in Aspropyrgos. After years of continuous investment, the cement factory now has a production capacity of over 900,000 tons per year and ensures more than 400 jobs directly or indirectly related to its activities.
In 2023, in a symbolic move for its future, the company announced its renaming to "Heidelberg Materials Hellas," aiming to align with the global vision of the Heidelberg Materials Group for a unified name in the countries where it operates. The renaming of Halyps to Heidelberg Materials Hellas reflects the broader transformations taking place within the Heidelberg Materials group at the international level, including the adoption of cutting-edge technologies like 3D printing and the implementation of sustainable strategies. At the core of the group's efforts—being a pioneer in the path toward carbon neutrality and the circular economy in the building materials sector—lie sustainability and innovation. This is also reflected in the recent launch of the product lines evoZero and evoBuild®.
Today, the company implements an Environmental Management System according to the ELOT ISO 14001:2015 standard and a Health and Safety Management System according to the ELOT ISO 45001:2018 standard.
Finally, a key concern of the company is the development of the local community in the municipality of Aspropyrgos and beyond, through sponsorships and donations for educational, cultural, and social purposes.
